Nancy O'Dell's first work in the industry of broadcast was as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In later years, she was employed by WCBD as anchor for the morning show and as a crime reporter. O'Dell's articles in Charleston concerning how Charleston police handled DUI cases with care, led to an inquiry by State Law Enforcement Division. The investigation resulted a stricter direction for state officials. The Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell with her Best Report of the year Award to every aspect of South Carolina media. O'Dell was a reporter and anchor for a time in Charleston reporting and anchor at NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station, before transferring over to Access Hollywood where she is currently a co-anchor and correspondent during weekends. Her current position as host of Access Hollywood is complemented by her work on NBC News Today, Dateline NBC and NBC News.
